The Infra Medi 2.0 Symposium & Expo was held at Le Meridien, New Delhi, bringing together key stakeholders from healthcare, research, policymaking, and industry to discuss ways to strengthen India’s healthcare infrastructure.
Lumbaram Choudhary, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Jalore-Sirohi, Rajasthan, attended the event as Chief Guest. In his address, he stressed the importance of building robust healthcare infrastructure and developing effective policy frameworks to meet the country’s growing health needs.
The symposium featured prominent speakers including Dr. Sanghamitra Pati, Additional Director General, ICMR; Dr. Mona Duggal, Director, ICMR–National Institute for Research in Digital Health and Data Science; and Dr. Rajni Kant, Director, RMRC Gorakhpur and Head, Policy & Communication, ICMR. They highlighted the need for stronger integration of digital health, research, and policy to transform India’s healthcare ecosystem.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) was the Gold Sponsor of the event. Representatives from organizations such as the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) also participated actively.
In the second session, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, former Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and a noted ENT specialist, joined as Chief Guest, underlining the role of strong policy leadership in advancing the healthcare sector.
NGO partners Lady Circle GMCLC160 and Karah Foundation contributed to promoting community engagement and social awareness during the event.
Aligned with the national vision of “Vision 2047,” the symposium focused on building a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready healthcare system driven by innovation, digital transformation, and collaboration. The organisers also announced the upcoming Infra Medi 3.0, which aims to expand dialogue and stakeholder engagement on a larger scale.
The event concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening India’s healthcare system and advancing long-term national health goals.
